I am on my 3rd "Htc Hero" with numerous failures. My husband has stage 4a cancer and it is imperative that I get the Drs phone calls when they attempt to call me! This could be a life or death situation (which would bring on a Sprint lawsuit) as his throat closes up and he can't breathe, I can't even call a number and expect to have a full conversation. I have had sprint for many years, and do not want to change, I do not have the funds to buy the "intercept" at full price, but said I was willing to purchase it for the 99.99 that a new customer gets it for, since I have been a loyal customer for almost 10 years. The phone hangs up in mid conversation, dial tone interrupts and the phone dials another # in my directory on it's own, It drops important calls daily, and I cannot get it to work to call the Drs back. It freezes up and has to be turned off and back on, the back of the phone is loose fitting and has come off numerous times. Again in mid conversation, my voicemail disconnects current call, tells me I have voicemail and then when I check it, there is NO voicemail. I have insurance, but the company said I need 100.00 for insurance and then they would r4place it with the "Moment" which I cannot hear or see as well as the "Intercept". I do not want to pay 100.00 for a phone that I have already tried and found too difficult to use. I called and asked to file an executive complaint, to which I was put on hold for 17 minutes, only to have a manager say they were too busy and would call me back, when I said I did not want to hang up, she hung up on me. It will only cost me 150.00 to leave Sprint and go to a more dependable company, get a free phone and have constant service, do they really want to treat their loyal customers this way? My daughter and son have already switched companies (had "hero" issues also and are happy with their new home. I still want to stay with sprint because of their "simply everything plan, but they will loose me as a customer if they cannot solve this acceptably, not to mention a lawsuit if myt husband ends up dying or being hospitalized because I could not reach a Dr and ambulance, due to a faulty phone.
