Jerome the "only person I can speak with" at Unique Squared UNIQUE SQUARED - BEWARE OF B-STOCK USED EQUIPMENT

UNIQUE SQUARED - SELLING B-STOCK USED EQUIPMENT AS NEW
SEPTEMBER I purchased a NEW Korg Microsampler from Unique Squared at their website and paid them in full for it. It was recieved by me at my address about 10 days later. They are only two states away so I am not sure what the delay was. I opened the parcel and immediately noticed the item had been repacked. Bubble wrap was in the box and a green zip tie on the adapter cord these are two things Korg does not use to pack their items and I know because I know Korg equipment, I buy it, a lot of it and have receipts to prove it. I own two of each of these korg products and have bought them in the past two months, prior to my order with Unique Squared... Korg Microkorg, Microkorg XL, Microsampler (x1), Microstation and Korg R3. Yes 9 synths/samplers. The outside of the factory box was all banged up as if someone had been toting that sucker around. I know Korg products and the way Korg presents them as factory packed. This was not only repacked it was a USED item that had been repacked very poorly and then mailed to me AS NEW. I then noticed the Korg Microsampler, had black scuff marks on the bottom and sides and the back of it had two dents into the hard plastic. Not damage from shipping this was someones returned item that was resold to me as new. I called Unique Squared 10 minutes after the delivery and they told me they had no used or returned items to ship out and they couldn't help me. On my third phone call over 2 days finally when I mentioned the green zip tie the "owner/manager" as self titled, Jerome admitted that they used green zip ties to repack audio and power cables so I must have been sent one that was retuned. Still he had not offered for me to return it for a exchange or refund and up to that point I was waiting too be offered either and since it wasn't a case where I didn't want the item, rather they sent me used beat up gear and tried to pass it off as new, I thought a mailing label to return it might be fair, why should I have to pay to return it when I was almost ripped off?
The next day I decided to cal one more time to see if they were going to do anything or should I let them, Korg My Bank and Visa figure it out I was tired of calling pleading my case and in 25 years of buying equipment I thought it was really odd and showed poor masnagement skills or lack of them altogether that I wasn't offered any plan to remedy the situation and I was on my 4th call in 3 days, don't think I didn't ask. They wanted photos and this and that. Why do I need to spend hours f-ing with the used equipment they know they sent? Total lack of any management to resolveit in a decent way. There was no resolution in any way. So my 4th phone call Jerome gets a attitude when I ask for his supervisor. I was told by him, "I am the only person you can speak to here there is nobody else available and he was the supervisor and manager" then he got loud and verbal on the phone telling me off for calling four times. If they had managed the problem to start with there would have been one call but there was no telling him anything because he was yelling at me. I asked him repedly to cool it when he had gone on and I ended the conversation, him telling me off. So I am done. Its their loss as I buy equipment almost daily. I have contacted so people I know at Korg who at first seemed suprised and during a later phone call informed me of the big picture and the advice I have is to spend your hard earned money where you will be respected. That's not at Unique Squared. Do you think you are going to be treated differently? Try to be realistic, the same person is running the show so why would you be? Since leaving a rating at another website Unique Squared left a message for me that they have sent a mailing label? I understand why Unique Squared sent me a mailing label and nothing else. I didn't wait on it but a apology for sending me used gear and then giving me a hard time about it would have been a nice gesture or am I at fault? All I did was ask for what I paid for. I am not going to put up with disrespect to get it. The manager told me what would happen if I sent it while he was screaming at me and telling me how things were going to be. If it happens it happens Unique Squared isn't my business to manage. I would rather not have my item lost indefinately in the Unique Squared warehouse. At this point I am not communicating with them by phone or email, this is about all I have to offer. I gave them plenty of chances to fix it and I would not have thought twice about it if it was handled on the 1st or 2nd call., crap happens, but they gave me a hard time and blamed me. Only after I speak up about it was any further efforts made. I don't know if the Jerome guy really does own the company, although he definately was the one controlling it and blocking my effort to speak with anyone else, my guess is that there is a owner who is unaware of what the real situation is. I am telling the truth here. If I was going to lie about them I would come up with a bigger problem than a beat up Microsampler. I am only posting what I experience so maybe someone else who doesnt have time to take pics of used gear and prove their innocense may not have the same experience at Unique Squared. You get what you pay for, its that simple, something I slipped up and forgot trying to save money. See all the time wasted? Don't let it be you. I have others dealing with it. My position is that its disappointing to see what could be a great company operating with poor management and aggresive customer support when they could really make a great name and a lot of money. Where do you want to go when you have a order screwup?
