I bought a bissell pro heat carpet cleaner in September 07 and had to return it to the store I bought it from 3 months after I bought it because the brush stoped working. I got the new one and used it twice resulting in the same problem. I contacted Bissell and they told me to take it to their repair shop which is 30 miles away from me. I did so and it was supposed to be repaired. When I asked the repair person what the problem was he said the machine was defective and would always be a problem. Little did I know. I took the carpet cleaner home and put it up as I did not have time at the moment to use it. When I did take it out again, it still did not work. Not only did the brush not work, but the pump did not release fluids. When Bissell was contacted, they informed me there was nothing they could do. So I am stuck with a defective carpet cleaner that Bissell refuses to replace. I will never purchase anything from them again and I hope they fade into the sunset. I did learn that they farmed out production to another country the year my carpet cleaner was built.
