Purchased 2 Siemems Gigaset cordless phones. Not cheap.
Within less than a month one of the chargers proved to be defective. When I called I was told, having given the order number, to call a warranty company. I very carefully confirmed with the girl that they had passed all responsibility for all warranty matters to this company. Yes was the reply. When I called the warranty company they had no record of taking on any kind of resposibility. I would have had a warranty card in the package. There was none.
I called 101Phones back. This time they tried to get me to call Siemens as the manufacturer. I explained that my contract was with them and i wanted the defective part replaced. So, finally, she agreed to this if I sent it back. I said I was happy to send it back if they emailed me a UPS voucher as I was not going to pay for the shipping on defective products that were less than a month old.
This was refused. I left a voicemail on a manager's phone who has never called back.
Message to everyone. 101Phones are fine if the product works. If it doesn't, they do not want to know and will do everything to avoid their responsibility to the consumer.
