Parking lot scam

A green ford suv pulled up beside me as I was leaving a parking lot and asked "would you like some speakers?" I said, maybe, and follwed them back in. First, a very pasty white guy with band tattoos on his arms and black flames tattooed on legs tells me that they work for a audio company in San Marcos, and they have 4 extra speakers that they are trying to sell because "The company sent them 4 pairs, rather than just 4" They have only half an hour, because they have to meet their boss to do a job, and know that if the boss finds out about the extra speakers, he'll just take them instead. The speakers are worth "Fifteen hundred each".

When I don't agree, another guy gets out of the SUV and proceeds to load two speakers in the back of my truck, and say, we'll take what you have for them. He has darker skin than the first, and tells me his name is Alermo. His number, which he gives, is 512-507-1380.

After I told them that I had no money, they pointed out that there is an ATM right there. When I tell them I have no money in my checking, they try to figure out how much they can get, and go for that amount, continually grousing that they wanted at least 900 for the pair. At $500, they agree. I pull the money from the ATM, and pay them for the speakers.

Moral: If it is too good to be true, it ain't true. Well, now I know.
Question: What does the law say about such a scam?
