Total ripoffs... We can't fix it so you will have to buy another one

I am writing this complaint in regards to the Apple Company and their products in general. My family and my family members were very loyal customers up until monday Mar. 8. We have bought Apple everything and w/in the last three years we have spent over a couple grand on apple products. One of the products that we bought was a Ipod Video that only had 89 songs and was 1-1 1/2 years old and hardly ever used not alot of time on our hands and just stopped working and I took it to 2 certified apple techs (GENUISES is what they are called) The first was honest and said politely that he couldn't find out what was wrong and told me that it was the best looking Ipod he had seen since he had started working for the mac/apple store and he had worked there since they opened. He said most that come in there are newer and looked like they had been thru the ringer and back and they want to know why it didn't work and they would ask for new one at no cost because they abused theirs and try to blame the manufacture (being 1 1/2 years old he said if they were the "APPLE STORE" and the way it looks no warranty out of warranty he would just make the judgement call of just to exchange it out for another one but since he worked at the subsidary store he couldn't help so he told me to go to the APPLE STORE that they are really nice. Well, I don't know if nice or helpful are words I would decribe them but they were neither) Well, I went to the Apple Store in our area and they usually take about 15 mins to try and figure out what is wrong instead the APPLE STORE tech took about 10mins if that to tell me that he has no idea what is wrong and that it won't do what it is supposed to do. I think he was frustrated because it kept freezing up his computer and he had to keep restarting his computer and he couldn't get the Ipod running. So the tech that he could take 10%off a new one and he would take my old one. Now why would I want to buy another one I just bought that one barely a year in half ago along w/2 other ones and let them take me for money. They take alot of those and refurbish them and resell them so they aren't losing any money. For almost full price. So to get to the point I pulled up my model of Ipod and I found pages of major issues on the model that I have starting back from when they first came out w/the model and they are still having the similar issues w/the brand new ones. So when I got home I called and got ahold of the manager of the store he wasn't any better than his employees he had the attitude of another problem I have to deal with and found every excuse he could to get off the phone w/me to try and make me happy. So what is sad is sad since I was a loyal customer I was also going to purchase 4 of their laptops that day but once I received the customer service I did. We decided to purchase our 4 computers else where that were the same price and had great C/S. I find that the APPLE STORE/COMPANY reminds of a car dealership or salesman. As long as you bought the car and left w/it it is no longer their problem. So if you by any APPLE products make sure you have lots of money because instead of helping the customer and trying to make them happy they will just suggest you buy another one no matter how old it is. They are more concern about making the money no matter how they go about it. I am glad that APPLE is such a big empire that can afford to lose 4 sales that add upto $10,000 in a day over 1 Ipod. Our laptops we bought were about $2500 a peice. We all were going to wait until our houses were done being built but my mom drove 3 hours from where she lives to surprise us on a beautiful sunny day to purchase the APPLE laptops but when she found out what they did over one measly Ipod she took her money (paying cash) elsewhere and said let's go get computers today and money is no object to her Customer Service is. She was still going to buy from them even after they had a news reel on them about their Ipod batteries over heating and not wanting to help all those people but after this w/our IPOD she said nope I no longer will I waste my money on an APPLE PRODUCT. So buyer beware and be consumer sauvie before you buy products from this company. I still have not heard from the regional manager. I still have a broken IPOD. My mom has found a place in her homestate that will diagnose them for free and then send them back w/the estimate and what's wrong and let you decide unlike apple who will charge you to diagnose their own product. I guess they have never heard of CUSTOMER SATISFACTION because we were basically told by apple employees that their products are flawless and it's the user and nobody can hack into their products. Oh and by the way just a tid bit for all buyers of APPLE PRODUCTS if you do have a product from them I was told that you have a year warranty from the purchase date but if something happens to it w/in 30 days of the 1 year warranty ending even you didn't buy the extended warranty they will help you but anything after that nothing no matter if it sat in a box for 6 mos and never got used and they can tell that it was in mint condition you are on your own unless you bought that extended warranty be leary of those becuase they are also limited.
P.S. I could of understood why they wouldn't of replaced it if I came in and it looked used and abused but this thing looks like it came out the box yesterday. You could tell it was well taken care of. If they expect people to replace things like that at that price once a year they are out of their minds. (I would of posted photos of it but it is at the shop getting an estimate. Where I took it to be fixed they had 5 pages of APPLE customers w/similar problems on the same model. When one person in front of me brought theirs in too they told the company guy fixing it the same thing. Horrible customer service for apple products. CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT APPLE IS ALWAYS RIGHT and THEIR PRODUCTS ARE PERFECT and HAVE NO PROBLEMS!!! Yeah right!!! That is what I heard one guy telling the person taking his IPOD. LMAO because it is so true... So sad because they have good products but good enough for me to tell everyone about them and waste my money on.
They will learn that one unhappy person will tell everyone one they know and blog about them and how bad they are but if they looked it up 1 person that they did make happy will tell someone who will tell that someone, who tell someone and so on about the good service they got. It's called WORD OF MOUTH and WHAT THEY EXPERIENCED!!! KARMA...
So beware!!! Ripoffs!!!
