4 years ago I purchased a French Door refrigerator from BestBuy and took their advice and purchased a 5-year "all covered" Service Plan. Now a small part broke off and when I talked to the Customer Service members and a supervisor, and a Customer Relations member, I was told by 3/4 of them that this is not the "belt or xxx" and so it's not covered by the Service Plan, and that if I wanted a service technician to come out and assess it, he may determine it's not covered and I will have to pay $100 for his trip!
The Customer Relations lady even told me "if the fridge is still making cold, nothing else is covered". This is totally different from their advertised "all wear and tear... No out-of-pocket, no hidden charges..." language.
