My husband and I were in New York for a 2 day visit and went into Broadway Camera to look at filters. We ended up buying a camera and camcorder along with a new lens and filter. The cost for these items was a total of $2330 on two separate charges.
They promised that this was a 'wholesale' price and that nobody could beat their prices. Also, if there were any problems just to call. We checked online after returning to the west coast and found that the on line price for all these items was $360. I called them twice and they wouldn't return my calls. We've packaged up all the merchandise and mailed it back to them. Then we filed a dispute with our credit card company. Hopefully our credit card services can resolve the problems for us.
Don't ever buy anything from Broadway Computer & Camera!!! They are rip-off artists preying on tourists, mostly from Europe who have no recourse. We have no excuse except we blindly believed their word.
