On July 3 I purchased a conversion lens for my digital camera and binocluars at Broadway Cameras & Electronics at 1550 Broadway in NYC. I did not have my camera with me but the salesman/manager said the lens was universal. When I got home on July 5th I tried the lens with my camera and it did not fit. I went on the internet for the phone number to the store. I repeatedly called the two numers listed but no answer. I wanted to make arrangements to exchange the lens.
When I did not get an answer, I went online again to locate the manufacturer to see if I could arrange an exchange. If the store had answered their phone I would never had known how badly they ripped me off. I found the exact lens on line for less than $50.00. The store price on the box was $599.99 but I got a deal for $250.00. I had already selected binoculars prior to deciding on the lens but the salesman "upgraded" the binoculars to a better pair. My curiousity was up so I researched the binoculars and they are available for $15.00. I paid $99.99.
I have contacted my credit card company and hope to be able to return this merchandise for a full refund.
This store needs to be stopped. There are other rip off stories about them on the internet.
