I recently switched to AT&T in order to use the iPhone. After hours of trouble activating the phone, I was treated to a network that couldn't receive calls anywhere, a phone that routinely ran out of battery power by 7 pm, voice mails appearing in my inbox 2-3 days after they were sent, and text messages that I had to try to send 15-20 times before they were actually sent through. I decided to cancel.
Then the real fun begins. I have spent about 4 hours on the phone trying to get my account cancelled, and a shipping label so I can re-send my phone back to the sender. Two weeks after they said they would send a shipping label, I am yet to receive one. I have also received a bill which bills me for the $175 early termination fee, despite cancelling within 30 days and thus not being liable for this fee. Then, I call back and spend another hour on hold, only to be told that because this did not occur within 30 days that they cannot send me a label.
This manner of disorganization, surly customer service, and incompetence is inexcusable.
