To Whom It May Concern,

Re: Electronic consumer complaint purchased on line (account number, 1804249)
On (2-12), I (bought, the Canon Pro Camcorder (XH-A1S) professional kit at Fotospirit.com online, however five weeks went by and I never received my camcorder, which I started calling for an entire month to ask when my camcorder was going to arrive? I did receive some digital camera accessories, which was not the professional package I purchased.

The case was busted, the tripod was cheap tripod going on the Internet for a digital camera, at a price of $12.00, and as for the other stuff included I was not able to test my equipment without a camcorder. I did call about the case being busted and that I was not going to put a $5000,00, camcorder on this cheap tripod. Scott the sale-persons comment was why not you have the extended warranty, which I have not received any type of documentation showing my purchase for a Canon XL-H1A with an five year extended warranty. I was told by Scott sales that he would send me a copy of my extended warranty and a new receipt for my camcorder I purchased via email but I haven't seen it either.

The first time I purchased the Canon XH-A1S I did receive by email a receipt but nothing stating about the extended warranty, which is printed out on the kit page. After upgrading and paying the difference for a professional camcorder - Canon XL-H1A for a price of $4,800.00 without the package. However, according to Nick the supervisor I had to purchase one of the accessories if I wanted that camera. So I figured okay I already paid for the professional package so I stick with this package and I told him just to take out the difference which I was charged by Zoommania there sister company on 3/23 a total of $1,758.00 more for the new camcorder and the professional package.

Since then it has been nothing but a scam and a nightmare. After letting fotospirit know there stuff was not 100% satisfaction. To return anything nothing had not been honored or guaranteed, because as soon I started calling and complaining about problems, my complaints were being ignored. Which is not right since I paid a price tag of 1349.00 for a professional package and another 4800.00 for a professional camcorder that I love The professional kit was cheap and I told Scott it seemed to be for a digital camera For example, there so called heavy-duty tripod that I tried using the leg broke and my first case came but tiny and crushed. This is when I was told I needed to talk with Nick who did take back the wireless, and would send me a pro case on wheels, along with a heavy duty tripod, and a multi-card reader not a SD card reader that I had sent back and charged each time a fee to return a busted tripod. Which the same type of tripod was sent back in a box with 2 legs broken during shipping.

I did believe Nick was genuine and going to fix it and this would be the end. Yes I thought I would finally get what I paid for, but instead I never did get back any multi-card reader, the case came but my pro camcorder never fit or was snug enough and well rolling the case along with my camcorder the top of the case came apart and almost dropped it to the ground. So I called and let Scott know by phone and email, which was ignored again. This is when I did try out the battery replacement, which was to be for 10hours but the life span was only 4.5 hours when I used it. Also, I only received a 2gig SD picture card not the 4gig SD card that should have been included too.in addition, to the professional kit package I tried out was a professional wide/telephoto lens adapter that was included but it turned out not to be for my pro video camcorder after capturing the footage used to test the adaptors there is a black circle around my video and the lens seems out of focus. Last thing, is the tape that were included in the kit seem to be defected too. For example they only record for 30 minutes when rewinding you see that it only goes back where the tape looks is halfway done. So the truth is that fotospirit sold me a low-grade professional package that is not at all for a professional camcorder but for a digital camera. It seems that they continue to refuse to correct the matter, by either sending me a pro package for my type of camcorder or to refund me back. And when I continued to call I have been put on hold for an hours. Emails have never been answered back. Nor does Nick return my calls. Not only has Scott attack me by yelling but also has blown me off like Ruby Maher. Note: I did even ask if I could return the stuff and only purchase the camcorder with the extended warranties, and not the professional package. But was told by Nick the supervisor no. So I have no other choice to take up this issue with you since I don't live in Pennsylvania. Eventually, I had to go ahead and purchase a pro camcorder bag, pro tripod, and muticard-reader from other dealers online, which I am totally happy with the product and service.

As for, Fotospirit I did everything to resolve this matter but they refuse to acknowledge my request. I have even returned everything back except for the mini dv tape hoping they would fix or refund me back 100 percent. Unfortunately, they have chosen to avoid my complaint letter and CD of pictures and emails I sent stating that the professional package has not performed or held up to what I purchased - 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. Therefore, I asked the company to resolve this problem; I would appreciate to get what I paid for a professional package for a professional HD camcorder with a receipt or my money back — charged back to my credit card for the kit paid for in full. I am still interested in the extended warranty, with a hard copy receipt for my records. Otherwise I would have to get the law involved, and go to small claims court and the media. Which I believe this online store would even try to run by closing up shop because when I went on the website it could not be found for two weeks.
