I recently bought an XM Radio from myradiostore.com.
When I went to activate the new radio, I was told by XM that the radio was already registered to a user but their account was no longer active. They would transfer the radio to my account.
The radio I was sold was used. Myradiostore.com does sell factory reconditioned radios, but this was not marked as such. The radio was shipped with a new, in box, home kit as advertised, but the radio was in a bubble-wrap pouch without warranty card, owner's manual or other packaging.
Regardless of their stated return policy, the merchandise would cost $15 to send back by UPS, initial shipping costs are not refunded so the recovery would be at close to a $20 loss.
I have chosen to keep the radio, send it to my mom (the intended recipient) and call it a lesson learned.
Now I send this warning to others. If you hear of other problems, please file this under "buyers beware."
