I purchased a radio from these people on January 26. I was to give the radio as a gift. On March 20, when I was preparing to wrap the radio as a gift, I decided to open the package and check it out. The radio did not work. Until that moment, the radio had been in it's original shipped packaging. OI reported the defect to Global Mart and was told that they did not accept returns for credit or replacement after 30 days. I explained the sequence of events and was stonewalled. Can you help?

I am out $46.96 (which I need to pay my newly risen PG and E bill.)
I sent a copy of this complaint to the Att'y Generals of California and Utah.
