I bought a computer from the office depot at Jantzen beach in Oregon store #2241. On the day I bought the computer I attributed the attitude of the employees to it being black Friday. They were very unprofessional and unprepared to answer any questions. As I was leaving with my computer that I had paid for and walking towards the door (with the employee who rang me up) another employee came running at me yelling that I couldn't leave the store. It took the employee who rang me up a few minutes to convince her that I had paid. This was very embarrassing for me since the store was very busy and everyone was watching because they thought I had tried to steal the computer! The workers were extremely rude. I have had to return twice since then and have been treated exactly the same.
Every time I leave this store I feel abused and like I was treated poorly. Today was the last straw. I went in for a receipt reprint because my receipt couldn't be copied for the rebate. The ink was too light on it. I waited for almost 15 minutes for Briana the store manager to come to the front and help me despite the fact that I had called 30 minutes earlier to let them know I wanted a reprint. Finally I asked the cashier if maybe I should come back. He responded that Briana was trying to call someone in so she could go home. I don't consider this a valid reason to leave a customer standing at the front of the store for 15 minutes! Especially on a day when there was only 3-5 people in the whole store! I Told Briana that I needed a valid reciept that was printed for my rebate and she said she wasn't sure if it would work. I'm sorry but I wouldn't have bought this computer if I couldn't get the rebate. That is why I bought it. I asked her if she would write her employee number on the receipt and she told me no. I'm not really sure what writing her number on the receipt would hurt but she flatly refused to do it. I am very upset and disappointed by the way I was treated while making this $700 purchase. I am a student and this was a very large purchase for me. At this point I just want to return the whole thing and go somewhere with more professional employees.
