In March of I purachesed a 1501 Dell lap top Windows Vista. As soon as I received it I noticed it was very slow on loading, I called dell service, I talked to a man I couldn't hardley understand after I was on hold for 50 minutes. He told me that was new and I could expect it untill it was broke in. A month later I called back and once again was on hold only this time 1hr 30 minutes once again IO couldn't hardley understand the agent. I told them I didn't want this lap top, I ask for an exchange. They said they only had a 24 day return policy. I demanded to talk to someone in the US, I was told I'd be put on hold again and they couldn't promise anything. I was on hold another 1hr 30 minutes. I finally hung up. I called the Geek Squad out and they said that the laptop didn't have enough ram. I called back to dell, I again was put on hole this time for 1hr. They gave me the runaround. This has been going on ever since I bought it. I have had it into a repair shop 3 times all have said that it takes at least 1Gig-abite of Ram just to start Vsta and that this computer was only 1/2 gig-abite. The last time it was in the shop, Michael Tucker from Logan Ohio, shut down all the start up programs. It helped a little but not much. He also said not enough ram to start up Vista. I have sent numerous e-mails to customer service at Dell only to get someone oversears answering the e-mails saying it was out of warranty and that I would have to pay a 1 time fee just to talk to a technician. This is bull-crap I told them. This lap top was not made with enough ram to start Windows Vista, Since March I have not made any payments to Dell finanical corporation hoping to get them to take notice, they told me they were going to ruin my credit. Which they have, To this date I have had no satisfasction with Dell, I recommend that you be careful before dealing with them. There is no such thing as quality control since our jobs left the US.
