My spouse and I were just getting out of our vehicle to go into a store when we were approached by a man named "Sasha". His partner stayed in their fleet Envoy vehicle the entire time as he told us about this surround sound system that was worth well over $3000 and he had to sell it because he had to meet up with his boss shortly and these were overstock from the company. The guy before us had supposedly just paid $800 for one (poor soul).
We were weary thinking obviously that these boxes must have been stolen, but then he showed us the receipt/packing slip. We had also never heard of this brand, and he then proceeded to show us a magazine proving they were legitimate (we thought), along with what they were worth. We paid $320 for one of the two boxes they had left in the vehicle. He even told me that for the warranty, just mail in the card with "gift" on it and the company will honor it. We then came home to research the company on the internet only to find SCAM stories about this product/company.
We haven't gone to police yet. I have the licence plate, make/model and color of the vehicle they were driving as well as the date this occured.
