Price Mad. Avoid this outfit like the plague. After you place a order on line for a TV you will receive a e-mail telling you to call for a confirmation number. This is a ploy to get you to call so the salesman can talk you into a more expensive model that he will claim is better. I took the bait even though the set I wanted was rated very high by Consumer Reports magazine. Then the real fun begins. They get their money right away and you will wait for a month or more for the TV. Every time I called to ask where the TV was I was told it had been shipped but there were no tracking numbers so I was screwed to try to track the order. I was given a different answer every time that I called to check on my order. I was told the order would arrive in a week, then another week after that, and then blah, blah blah.
Want to know what finally got some action? I told them I was going to call the credit card company with a complaint and hung up. It was not more than ten minutes and some woman at Price Mad called and said she would guarantee 2 day delivery by FedEx and she even all of a sudden had tracking numbers. She also said she would credit $150.00 back to my Visa account. I am still waiting to see that money.
This deal has been going on for over a month and I still have a problem with getting a $200.00 rebate from Panasonic because Price Mad sent me a invoice that I need for the rebate and the invoice has the wrong TV set number. Who knows how that is going to work out.
They shipped a set that was not the one they were supposed to ship and it is $44.00 cheaper than the one I paid for. I guess I can kiss that $44.00 good by.
When I checked the local BBB office (Michigan) they had nothing on Price Mad. Later in the game I decided to try the New York BBB office which is where Price Mad is located and guess what? Price Mad is not a member and they have a unsatisfactory record.
This outfit will screw you for less money than some other dealer if that's what you like.
If you deal with Price Mad your nuts.
BTW You cannot send e-mail to them. If you do you will receive a automated e-mail telling you to call them on the telephone so get yourself a good head set because you will be waiting a very very very long time on the phone.
