In December I made a leap before look purchase of this service because of the advertised 6 mbps download. What I didn't check was the upload speeds - Slower then dial up...
Two years later, the modem failed. I was told that I had to pay for the modem or pay for the antenna or sign a one year contract.
I suffered for two years for the service. The customer service is limited. No regular invoice (paper or online) unless you request it.
Further, I was told by customer service that I owned the antenna and modem. Today, I told the service tech, replace the modem no charge, I am not paying for it, and I won't sign another contract. He was sympathetic... But kept his stance. As far as I am concern, no need to "shoot the messenger".
I told customer service - close the account today!
Funny how things happen like that - I was asked why but no defense to my statement and no attempt to rectify the account or the faulty modem.
The service tech did tell me that the issue I was having with the modem was typical and no surprise to him. I had the same response from the phone support as well. So why do these modems have a short lifespan?
