Stay away from Lafnac Digital computers and warn your friends or anybody at your hotel
This is a classic rip-off in tourist location-New York. False and dishonest advert, of 30% off advertised in tourist leaflet. This as inventory sales. On lots of sweet talking of high specifications of camera and a Compaq computer we were sold these at unrealistic prices that we found out not only cheaper but similar products of higher specs would be cheaper in UK. There are no refunds or admission of mis-selling and as tourists it would only spoil your holiday to be embroiled in a dispute. We paid nearly double to what would be worth.
Andre, who sold us the products, added in accessories such a computer battery, wireless connectivity that would be inclusive of the price. The clever way was to take original packing away so that YOU USE IT NOW! The bag and memory card or camera battery charged at inflated prices. We were gullible and naive, with refusal to a refund. And the orginial packing is not available!
Stick to big retailers e. G best buy etc who would refund and ensure your credit card company is informed of any bad practice. It is imperative that credit card protect their customers of such bad practices and bar these retailers.
