In September, I called DirecTv to start service. When the installers arrived, my wife told the technician where the crawlspace was, shown how to route wires and where the wires can terminate. They were told specifically NOT to puncture the siding on the house. When I arrived home later that day, I discovered they not only punctured my siding by screwing the cabling to the side of my house, but they ran the wire through the window! Now I am unable to properly close my window and it looks like crap.in addition, the dish itself was mounted in the middle of my roof and is not grounded! Can we say FIRE HAZARD? If this thing is struck by lightning, I am literally in a life threatening situation.
I have been in contact with DirecTv and this company. EVERYONE is unacceptably slow to respond. One "supervisor" from Connect Television finally did call me back and claimed the dish was properly grounded. Now, I may have been born during the day, but it wasn't YESTERDAY. There are no wires going to ground from that lightning-strike-waiting-to-happen. To sum up we have demonstrations of DISHONESTY, UNRESPONSIVENESS to customers, LAZINESS and INCOMPETANCY. Wow, what a company. They have the winning formula there, don't they?
My reccomendation: If you buy DirecTv and these guys show up, tell them to move along. Do NOT let them touch your property.
