Unfortunately, we bought a Maytag fridge in December. We're currently hearing the drumbeat of the NEXT damper that's been mounted within this device. Maytag admits that the badly manufactured damper may be the trigger. They WOn't industry or problem a credit, declaring that the noisy (truly loud!) damper isn't a problem. The Maytag "Customer Support" division was definitely worthless! They've mentioned, essentially, that so long as the fridge is cooling precisely, they've no responsibility regarding sound problems. Despite the fact that they're conscious of this issue and therefore are re designing the damper, they proceed to market the faulty design (#MBF2262HEW) to unsuspecting clients. There has to be some safety for all those people who purchased in good faith. I highly promote potential clients to consider twice, and sometimes even 3 or 4 occasions before investing in a Maytag item.
