On April 28 I went to the Dominican Republic on vacation. Prior to this trip I called Sprint to see if I would be able to use my cell phone there and what I would be charged for calls. I was told that it would be exactly the same as if I called from home. The rep went on to tell me that even though my phone would say that I was roaming I would not be charged any roaming or long distance fees, as I have free roaming and long distance on my plan.
Today I received my bill which included over $800 for roaming fees for the time I was on vacation. I called Sprint and was told that they would not remove the charges. They said that although they have it on record that I called them twice in April no one noted on my account that I asked about using my phone while in the Dominican Republic.
