This is a 100% scam. This guy drove up to me in the parking lot of a gas station stating " this is going to sound crazy but I'm trying to get rid of this high end stereo fast.
He said that he worked for a custom home theater company and that there was an error which resulted in him getting an extra system. He then told me that during the previous week he had shown up at a site with an extra plasma screen TV and his foreman told him that he was an idiot and that he could have kept the TV for him self as he took it home. Seemingly, he had to get to the site and didn't have time to take the spare system home and was trying to get what he could for it.
At the time I did have some extra cash and offered him $150 for this 2500 watts high end msrp $5,299 stereo. He then pressed me to get more money. "Is there anyone you know that could lend it to you... This is really a great deal... Etc."
So I gave him the 250 and after getting this home and setting it up I realized I'd been ripped off. This low quality piece of junk I had just paid $250 for.
What shocks me the most is that their doing this all over the united states and have copyrighted material to back up there products.
No one that does this should be allowed to continue in business. This is illegal and just flat out wrong!
