2 yesra ago i purchased an XM radio for my car 89.95. I was advised by the sales person to purchase the warrenty for 29.95. This covers repair or replacement if the unit fails for up to 4 years. Well it failed after two years, i went back to best buys and was told the unit was not able to be serviced so they will replace it. Now the store no longer had the unit so i had to get what they had, a 46.00 unit or a 184.00 unit. If i choose the higher price one i would have to pay the difference if i choose the lower price one i WOULD NOT get the difference, oh and the warrenty does not carry over. I asked for a complete refund as they could not provide me with the unit i originally had. All they will do is a store credit for the 89.95. I spoke to the manager with no success. I explained that if the unit was no longer available that i should be entitled to a full refund as they are unable to replace my unit with the one i originally purchased. I had to take a store credit for 89.95. TOTAL SCAM!!! And im beat for the 29.95 b/s warrenty! The total refund would be a lousy 127.00.
