I bought an xantrex xpower1500 power pack on the internet from one of their sales companies. I have had trouble with it every since. Gradually the batteries would discharge faster and faster and after six months. Their charger would not charge them all the way.
After contacting them, about adding other batteries, I told them about the problem by email, but they weren't any help. After eight month's the batteries will not charge at all. I contacted them about this and they instructed me to put it in my car and try to charge the batteries with the cigerette lighter (they suspected that is was the their charger), but since I had a portable jump starter with a DC socket. I decided to charge it with that, but it wouldn't charger with that either.
They told me I needed to purchase or borrow a volt meter to see if the charger was working, but I told them I should send it back and needed a RMA as instructed in the manual. Any product sent back without an RMA would be refused (Return Material Authorization) after telling them that my warranty was about to expire and I didn't know if they would honor it. That's when they ignored my emails altogether, and wouldn't even authorize repairs.
