I purchased an accessory kit at the Nikon Mall online, which provides Nikon products. The accessory kit was approximately 52 dollars. The kit was supposed to include a soft carrying case for my digital nikon camera, a battery charger and nikon rechargeable batteries.
The kit I received was the wrong kit and only included the batteries and the charger. I contacted the Nikon Mall about their mistake via phone. They appologized and said they would mail out the right kit and told me to return the original/wrong item. I received the replacement kit and it was the right one. However, the batteries in the replacement kit would not hold a charge. I contacted the Nikon Mall again, this time about the faulty batteries, and they told me to send them the replacement batteries and battery charger and just to keep the original batteries and charger.
Okay, so now I had a entire kit; batteries, soft carrying case, and charger... And I was to mail the faulty battereis and charger back to them. I boxed up the batteries and charger and took them to the post office and mailed them back to nikon (uninsured, no tracking). 3 months later they contacted me and told me they were going to charge me because they never received the charger and batteries. The price of the kit with the carrying case was 52 dollars, the price of the kit without the carrying case (which is what they originally sent me) was around 20 or 30 dollars.
Without proof of shipping (a tracking number) my bank would not help me out, so I ended up paying an additional 52 dollars. This stupid kit cost me over a hundred dollars. I'm pretty steamed about the whole thing. I mailed the charger and batteries back to them. I would have been more understanding if they had charged me the 20-30 dollars for the charger and battery kit, but they charged me the full price for the kit with the carrying case, and that's not what they originally sent me. I ended up paying for to full accessory kits for my camera, but only got one. RIPOFF!!! I will never do business with the Nikon Mall ever again.
