Rebate rippoff. Routinely looses rebate submissions

From Circuit City I purchased two item with rebates. One was a Proview 19" monitor, the other was 50 pack of NXX DVD-Rs. I gathered, completed, copied and mailed all of the required items to: CC Rebate # PCOTS, Program # PA129, PO Box 540040, El Paso TX 88554-00400. This was mailed via USPS 1st Class Certified Return Receipt, and receiced by Parago Inc on Nov 04, and signed for by R. Saucedo.

After four weeks, I checked ccityrebates.com/promocenter/circuitcity/track.html
to see the status of my rebate. Not Found. Checked sveral more times in December. Not found. So I sent an email to query the status.

I am sorry you lost my rebate of $20.00. I mailed it via USPS 1st Class Certified Mail Return Receipt. According to USPS records it was received at: CC Rebates #PCOTS, Program #PA126 PO Box 540040, El Paso TX 88554-0040, on Dec 04 at 1:19 PM. Signed by R Saucedo.

So, I know you did receive my Rebate submission. It was submitted by my wife, Tammie * *, Tuscumbia Alabama 35674. I am unable to give you the
ticket number off of the Receipt, because it is barely legible. When your Salesperson J. Martin (Store 4505) gave us the receipt, we complained that the print quality was so poor that we could not read it. She stated that it was ok. We asked for a readable receipt, and Ms martin refused to provide one. On the same receipt, we also purchased a Proview 19" Monitor, with a $100.00 rebate. It was submitted at the same time, at the same address. It shows to be in process for the check to be mailed. My best guess at the Ticket Number is 40000247136 and Program PA129.

Parago Inc, has a very poor reputation! You are notorious for loosing rebates, denying payment, and outright falsehoods. I have the misfortune of having had dealings with Parago Inc about two years ago, with a $75.00 rebate. I have detailed records of my encounter with Parago Inc. Only after filling a complaint with the Alabama State Attorney General's office, did Parago Inc, send the $75.00 rebate.

Bottom line: I have proof that we submitted the rebate, copies of the Receipt, and Rebate Forms, plus the USPS Return Receipt. The USPS Tracking Number is 7006 0100 0003 6998 3473.. If you provide me with a Fax number I will fax you a copy of the Receipt and the Rebate Form.

I am going to send a copy of this email to Circuit City.

Neil are you to stupid to understand that you did receive the rebate! I told you that it was sent via USPS Certified Return Receipt! Here is the USPS Tracking Number - 7006 0100 0003 6998 3473. Go To www.usps.com and track it for your self, if you can read!

Back in June Parago Inc tried the same trick on me. After talking to Joe, Louis (Supervisor) and Charlie (superviosr) and being repeatedly hung up on, I escalated my response. Best Buy was useless, and refused to help. So I called Parago Inc at 972-538-3900 and kept entering extensions untill someone answered, and I got names. Talked to R. Benitez, Robert Barton, and to Londi Dennis. More run around. So, Iexcalated again, to the Alabama State Attorney General. LOL, after the AG got involved, Parago sent my Rebate Check via Overnight FED-EX.

If by the end of today, Parago and or Circuit City has not mailed my Rebate, I will file a complaint with the AG on this matter.
