This is my form 475 FCC complaint.
Date starting from August 14. I cancelled my service on the afore mentioned date as my phone is now outside of Sprint's service area (purchased and used in Omaha, NE and now living in Lakin, KS) I was told at the time of cancellation that I would receive my refund of 272.38 within 2 to 3 weeks. On a disconnection notice dated 18 Aug I was informed that I owed $120.00. This notice was received in Lakin, KS on 8/22/06 as have all bills and correspondence since with the exception of my refunds.
I called and spoke with Ron Williams in Sacramento and straightened things out (so I thought) and was told all was fine. A check would be coming in 2 to 3 weeks with my initial $250.00 deposit plus the 48.00 that I had coming from a billing discrepancy. I was told that I was receiving 48.00 back plus my deposit at 1830 hrs by Ron Williams.
On September 18 I received a bill from sprint crediting me $22.18 and NOT 48.00 plus my 250.00 deposit claiming that I had used a telephone that had in fact been un-useable since 8/14. The bill stated there were 23.60 in "additional charges" from Aug 18 to Sept 18. I called again to inquire. I spoke with Josh Smith in Overland Park, KS.
I explained my problem and he told me that I would be receiving a check for 298.00 that would be issued on October 18. On 10/16 I called and spoke with Jana (in Missiouri call center), she said I was not getting any check, I asked for her manager - Jerry, whom can be identified only by Jpruet03 told me that I would be getting a check for $298.00 and not zero as stated by Jana. He said it would be coming in 2 to 3 weeks. The check never came.
Instead I got another bill stating that I would be getting a refund of $272.38. I called again on 11/01-talked to Melissa id#5110725- she said that I was sent a check for 22.38 and that it was sent to an old address. I asked for a manager and was sent to Panama (the country) where I spoke to Deanda id#dpitte01 got nothing but hold for 30 min. Called back and got Craig id#cwalke45 who said he'd handle it and give it to a manager told me that my address was in Lakin. I told him this was interesting as only a few minutes before it was Omaha according to Melissa.
11/1/06- (supervisor) Elvira id#el074006- said she wanted to help but only wanted to argue, said it was mailed on 10/19/06 to an Omaha Address. I asked why it was sent there and not where all other correspondance has been sent over the last 60 days? She had no reply other than the check had been sent. She said she would e-mail her manager and inform him and he would call me. 11/3/06-Robin id#kbumsi02 called and told me it takes 90 days to get a refund (1st time hearing this one) Told her I was going to file FCC report at this point. She gave me a direct line number to call her if the check came.
11/04/06 Elvita id#elo74006 calls again to claim that I've called 3 times since our last call (no calls from here) and that I need to check at my old address for my check. I ask for her manager. Elvita claims she doesn't have one. She is the end of the "food chain." We argue for another 10 minutes about where the check should have been sent if it WAS sent at all. I'm put on hold again as she trys to call Robin from a number that Robin claimed was a direct line. Turns out the line is bogus. Call ends with Elvita claiming that she'll try and "help" me. She states this after belitting and snotty comments throughout this call and the previous.
Where is my money? How much am I getting and why does it take in excess of 80 days (as of today)
Watch out for these idiots. Just another thieving company
