My wife went into the Verizon store to buy a wireless card for me, for a Father's Day gift laptop she hadn't purchased yet. A store employee guaranteed her that a certain card would work in ANY new laptop. When she purchased the laptop and gave it to me, we found that the card did not work. That afternoon, I tried to return the card to them and they refused to accept it, because more than 15 days had elapsed from time of purchse. We have tried unsuccessfully to obtain ANY sort of satisfaction from them. The issue is not their return policy under normal circs, the issue is when their employee offers information that is incorrect, the "15-day" return policy should not begin tolling until we find out we cannot rely upon the emp's statements and have a need to return the item.
