A woman came into my salon with several electronic devices, claiming that they had recently been at a trade show. She explained to me that the products were left over and would be unable to be sent back to the manufacturer.
I expressed interest in the MP4 player that was in her hand. She showed me many applications that it could perform, and stated it was so great because it had a 2" screen unlike any other. She explained to me that all the other mp4 players came with a 1.5" screen and the 2" gave such spectacular picture quality. She then proceeded to explain that it had a 40 hour battery life.
Long story short, I wrote a check and she went to her van and gave me what seemed to be a MP4 in a box.By the time I opened it she was gone. I examined the device only to realize it was a piece of garbage, not the product she showed me, nor the product on the front of the box. I measured the screen, which measured to 1.5" and the directions were not even for that device. I also paid $127.40 and found it all over internet for $46.00-$60.00.
I called what I thought was Charles Modlin (the gentleman I wrote the check to) and got some man with screaming kids in the background. I told him the situation, and he told me I paid the extra money for a warranty, and I was either unable to exchange or return. He hung up the phone and I called back and he refused to answer.
I waited to the next day and the man that answered my call (the one on the receipt 727-797-8674) did not answer again.
