Current Employee Tells All - check out what really goes on

Ok Ok now for rip offs they expect you to sell or use. BUYERS BEWARE — ok first the company makes roughly 275 to 325 per activation they pay you on average a measley 45-55 bucks. Wow thanks guys. Anyways thats not enough for them, they also charge you a 5 dollar activation fee. Look at your receipt its under tms activation fee. Thats how they pay their managers that 5 dollars a phone. If you go through t-mobile or cingular, they will not charge you this if its a direct store.

NEXT their insurance (coverage) plan, The Digiatl Buyers Club. Never buy this never ever under any circumstance. They will show you how much money you will save by purchasing their protection plan rather than t-mobiles or cingulars insurance. Well yeah you can save money and you can also spend 6 hours on hold and then get hung up on after finally getting through to make a claim. They tell you this plan protects your phone from lost, stolen, water damage or anthything you can think of. Guess what most police departments don't make reports on lost phones. I have never seen anyone call to make a claim and get through, ever!

I have heard it through regional managers saying, "the digital buyers club is 100% profit" funny how they will admit this behind closed doors. I encourage you if even after reading this you still decide to buy from the mobile solution, to ask them how easy it is to make a claim, ask them if you will have to be on hold for a while. If they say no then you're talking to a very dishonest salesman.

PHONES AND PRODUCTS
Ok so the "highend" accessories they sell cost them 3 dollars to make and they sell them for 30. If your slaesman is nice he will sell them for 15 but thats the lowest they can sell them for. Thats 5x profit they are making off these *&*& china made accessories.

Ok the phones we carry are usually over priced compared to the direct companys prices. They will try and tell you how good of a deal you are getting by them giving you these mail in rebates. Ok first off the T-mobile or cingular rebates you WILL recieve, the The Mobile Solutions rebate you mine as wellthrow it out. I have never heard of anyone actually getting one of these back.
They will tell you this phones 225 with a hundred in rebates and mostly they will give you a 50 t-mobile or cingular rebate and a 50 mobile solution rebate. So just plan it being a single 50 dollar mail in rebate.

The company does not care about you. They train their salesman to be vicious high pressure salesman. It really is sad once you snap out of it and relize how many people you actually ripped off, but they won't tell you that. They will say you hooked that person up and gave them a good deal, just so you won't relize whats really happend.

Ok enough for now I discourage any regional, market director, or even TMS sales associate to try and defend this company. You might be making some money if you're high up there, but TMS needs and wants you like a bad case of the *&*&.

So i have worked for the The Mobile Solution for about a year. I have worked very hard sold alot of phones and put in crazy amounts of time and effort into this company. I can honestly say its a joke. First when you get hired they ask you to make it to training. You go to training and they build up your confidence with things like " welcome to your new career" or "I am confident you guys are gonna make alot of money. This whole company is full of young people. The oppurtunitie is amazing".

Then they put on a video starring the owner and founde r of the company (John Macavoy) or however you spell his fat pathetic name. He tells you in the video oh this company is this and that, its so much fun, blah blah. BS trsut me! They even tried telling us that when he started this company he was so broke he was sleeping on the beach in san diego and only owned one shirt. I find it hard to believe he could afford rent in a san diego mall but lived on the beach with nothing. Then you finish your training after a bunch of BS and they send you on your way.

Of course you are all excited thinking you've gotten yourself into something amazing. Well it takes about a month to really get whats going on and become a decent salesman, (anyone who says they were selling huge amounts of phones right off is lying, how can you sell a product if you are unfamiliar with it?) They tell you oh don't worry you are gonna be making the big checks soon. Well this never happens. Yes you might make 1500 bucks biweekly on ocasion, but add up all the checks that are 600 and under, evens out to be pretty much *&*& dosen't it.

The reality is you have to sell at least 65 phones a month to be making the amount of money they tell you you will make. Ok still sounds ok? Remember you are convining people to sign a contract to pay a certain amount of money every month. Thats not easy no matter how could a salesman you are, sure you can sell phones, but if people don't wanna buy they arent gonna buy. The only people that make money in the company are the managers and regional managers. The managers make commission plus 5 bucks for every phone that leaves their store. The regionals make a high percentage off their stores combined. Usually close to six figures a year.

So yes you can make money after a long time of making nothing and being treated like *&*& and walked all over, having your confidence broken, built up, broken, then built the way they want it. Its not worth it, 6 days a week most likely ten hour days. Don't buy it, they tell you you will be working 5 days a week, hahahahahahahah no way.
