Complaint / Review
Tiger Direct, OnRrebate.com
Ripoff, Fraud

On 5/28/06 I purchased a 19" Hyundai monitor for the advertised price of $129.99 based on receiving a rebate of $140.00. I was also convinced to recieve the free (afeter Rebates of $80.00) internet Security and Desk Top Migrator software programs. After placing the order with the agent, I immediately attempted to file for the rebate online. I was then directed to OnRebat.com where I learned I must send an e-mail and wait for a confirmation number.

I received the confirmation number on June 22, and it was required to be postmarked by 6/27/06. I was out of town part of this time and busy with 7/1 sales goals. As a result I did not find the e-mail until after the 6/27/06 deadline.

Upon contacting Tiger Direct today I was told, "well, you left town". I asked the person if their customers were required to stay in town for 24 days while they waited for the confirmation e-mail to arrive? He paused and then said you are the one that left town. I waited 25 days for the confirmation number when the website said it would take 24 hours and then had five days to send it in.

I have filed a complaint with Discover as they claim they offer protection for this and will post their decision when it is received.
I will also be contacting all of the above organizations including the FBI due to this being an accross state lines issue.

I will never do business with Tiger Direct EVER again.
