Ripoff, Deception, Bait and Switch, Adds Fees at Last Minute Not Described on Website

This company should not be allowed to remain in business—not for another day! This Brooklyn, NY based company is composed solely of deceptive scam artists! Here is why:

I placed an order on their site for a Toshiba TV (72MX195). When my order was complete, my first suspicions began because there was absolutely NO delay after the screen where I entered my credit card number in - as in no automated credit card processing! After placing the order, I was taken to an extremely vague order confirmation page that had a confirmation number. This same information was also e-mailed to me. The following day, my suspicion was confirmed as the deception began.

I received an e-mail telling me to call them for verbal confirmation of the order. The phone number in the e-mail was different from the phone number listed at the top of the web site. Also, ironically, the phone number in the e-mail matched the phone number listed in an eBay auction for the same TV. However, the auction was under a different store name - not Crazy4Digital, but Digital Kings (eBay ID: digitalkingsny). Anyway, I called the number and gave them the order number to confirm. At this point, they actually tried to get me to buy an older, discontinued TV (72HM195), for the same price! They tried to say it was BETTER than the one I had ordered to begin with!!! Of course I promptly declined this offer.

After that, I asked the guy if the TV was brand new (not refurbished); he said absolutely. He said the item would be shipped out soon, and I would receive a call from the shipping company about 24 hours before delivery. All is well or so I think. But wait, it gets even better! A couple days after the verbal confirmation phase of the scam, I went to check the order status by entering my order number and e-mail address on the order status page. I was then presented with once-again vague information, which included an order status of NTN! At that point, I didn't know what NTN meant, so of course I called them to find out (which I'm assuming they expect people to do). Once the guy answered (the same guy answered on all my calls, by the way), he said NTN meant Need To Notify.

Hmmmm, that's funny. I thought I did that a couple days ago! He asked for the order number, and then told me the TV was on back-order! I ask for an ETA and he tells me he's not sure, maybe a week or two. I figured I would wait. I guess this is what people get when they don't fall for the bait and switch scam. I figured my order would be on an indefinite back-order status until I got impatient and cancelled it.

After hanging up, I checked the order status again. Sure enough, the mysterious NTN had changed to back order. I waited a few more days and called back again to check the status. At this time I was told (by the same guy, of course) that they had three of the brand new TVs in stock, but they were marked as refurbished because he had purchased them from a dealer that was going out of business, and had to ship the TVs back to the Toshiba factory for re-inspection! Then, using high-pressure sales tactics, he tried selling me a $400 three-year warranty from Tech Pro (yet a third iteration of the same company; call the number on techprowarranty.com and you will hear the same scammer's voice!) and, at the last minute, tried tacking on a 6% insurance charge that was never mentioned anywhere on the website or in the order confirmation!!! After this, I was just completely fed up with the lies, and told him to cancel the order and hung up the phone.

I will even go a step further and say that I think the positive comments posted online (website redacted) were simply fabricated lies posted by the company in question.
