Like many of you, I filed a rebate with onrebate.com after purchasing an OVERPRICED cable at Tiger Direct but with the rebate, it was worth it. Surprise, surprise, they did not receive my paperwork. I guess I, along with all of you, are victims of some scam by the US Post Office (which in my experience is extremely reliable) of not delivering mail to Florida. Guess the weather is too nice there for them to care
In any event, the unhelpful "service" rep told me I would have to resend the paperwork but as the instructions told me, I had to send the original UPC code. I will admit, stupid me did not make a copy (my own darn fault) but I would have thought that since onrebate.com and tigerdirect.com are the same company, they could honor it and make me a happy customer.
Instead I was transferred to a supervisor and got a voicemail saying she was unavailable. Oh and get this - her voicemail was full so I could NOT leave a message. I guess it's all the rip-off complaints they're getting from us.
So onrebate.com / tiger direct whoever you are. I would like my stupid $7. I registered on your web site to get my rebate; I have copies of my purchase receipts and my tracking number but no UPC code. If you are willing to give me my $7 without the UPC code (since you know I purchased it since you are the same company - seriously we know the truth - get over yourselves) I will be happy, retract this complaint and buy from you again (oddly enough I'm a Purchasing Director at my company so this should be interesting).
If not, I will continue to write about you here, on e-pinions, Consumer Reports, etc. I have a lot of free time. Ball's in your court. Drop me a line, love to hear from you onrebate/tiger direct!
