I ordered a Motorola h700 bluetooth headset through the buy it no option on ebay on January 11. They only accepted personal chekcs, so I mailed them a check. The check cleared on January 18. Their shipping policy was "2 days after check clears." At this time, I noticed that there ebay ID had been revoked. I reported this to ebay and Ebay has done absolutely nothing to rectify this situation.
Dan and his staff never returned my phone calls. They only communicated through email, and usd every excuse in the book as to why the item was yet to be sent/received. After doing extensive research on the itnernet, I found that Dan's Cellular Accessories had several aliases and phone numbers listed throughout thew internet.
I called all of them, and finally got a hold of the Master Scam artist Dan Horton at 203-559-7314 on approx Feb 18 over a month after the order had been placed. Dan Horton the Scam Artist assured me that he would take care of everything and gave me a tracking number.
After following the tracking number on the UPS website I found that Dan Horton supplied me with a fake tracking number and that the item was actually sent to Chumsford Mass. (no where near where I live). I proceeded to call Dan and he apologized again, claiming to ont know what happened, and provided me with a second Tracking Number.
This time, I called the UPS corporate office to find out where this item was to be sent. UPS told me that it was to be sent to Hawaii. (Un-freakin-beleivable). I then called Dan "the Scam King" Horton again, and he could not explain this fake tracking number and told me that he was going to personally mail me a motorola H700 headset. He promised to call me back in an hour with a new tracking number. 24 hours later, I had not heard form him, so I called him and he gave me a new tracking number without an excuse for his not calling me back within an hour.
It has been two months since my purchase and I am yet to receive this item. If you know him or his company and have contacts with the police or FBI or Federal Trade Commission, pease see to it that he is prosecuted to the fullest extent.
Dan Horton and "Joy" are part of an extensive internet scam ring. If you do a google search, you will find scores of complaints and stories similar to mine. It is a shame that Ebay still allows this filth to operate fraudulent businesses on its website. I hope that the Greenwhich CT Police department takes this seriously and nails these derelicts. Dan "The Scam King" Horton must be dethroned.
