Home stereo lasts less then a year, shipping and repair fee outrageous Ripoff

I purchased a home stereo about a year ago at WalMart. Several months ago the volume button didn't work. You had to giggle it to get it to work.

I contacted the company and was told to send it in for repairs. I would have to pay shipping and $25.00 repair fee.

I think $25.00 is outrageous to fix a dial that has a bad connection.

This stereo was only used occastionally by two adults. So it was not mistreated. I think merchandise should last longer than that.
