Sent in check and received nothing

I received certificate for a credit card with a 5,000 dollar limit if I just send in 49.00 dollars.

I sent the check for 49.00 dollars, it was cashed and I got nothing in return.

I can't believe that this happened. It's wrong and I want my money back.
