I sent a vintage stereo receiver to Stereo Surgeons for repair approximately 2 years ago. I contacted the owner, Kenneth Bernacky, on several occasions after he received the unit. Receipt was confirmed by UPS. He made numerous excuses about why he had not repaired the receiver. This went on for several months.
I finally asked Mr Bernacky to return the receiver. He stated that I would have to pay the return shipping. When I indicated that he had had the receiver for over a year without repairing it and that I felt he should pay at least part of the return shipping, he became extremely abusive and hung up on me. I called later and told him that I would pay the shipping and provided him my credit card information. He still has failed to return the unit and at least three months has passed since our last communicion.
I have sent several letters and emails. He has refused to respond. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and they indicated that he did not respond to their inquiry.
The receiver is part of a vintage stero system ane none of the other components can be used without it. I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!
