I bought a sony xplod car stereo for my car last summer of '01. They were offering free installation at the time. I know how to install car stereos myself but this would save me a LOT OF TIME I thought.
I was told that there may be additional fees up to $35. I was ok with that. When I got my car back they handed me a bill of $80!!! That's more than DOUBLE of the additional fees I was expecting! I was shocked and furiously angry.
I asked them what exactly did you put in my car. They added a bunch of sh*t that wasn't necessary to add in the first place.
I already had an older Sony car stereo in my car that was professionally installed elsewhere that they could've just replaced it with the new stereo.
Days later I called the Best Buy satisfaction hotline. They did NOTHING! Then I called the manager of Best Buy to take off whatever they charged me for it.
He said its was "non-refundable". I've had lots of bad experience with Best Buy before. They tell you one thing but when things goes bad it's another story.
When Best Buy says "Free" there's always a catch attached to it. Is this what Best Buy means? If anyone out there willing to help me out here that would be greatly appreciated.
