I was lied to and cheeted at the Grand Richly electronics shop in Hong Kong. The name of the person who cheeted me is Mr Cheung (surname spelling may be incorrect). He is the manager there.
(The fat guy with glasses).
I had for a long time wanted a digital camera, however I didn't know much about electronics, so I decided to buy a well known brand name only, a fujifilm camera.
So my girlfriend and I went into the Grand Richly store to buy a Fujifilm product. Mr Cheung advised us of a new Fujifilm camera, which also had a video camera, MP3, and 8 million pixels.
Upon looking at the camera, we noticed that it said Fujila... We asked about this and was told that it was a genuine fujifilm camera, "Fujila is just the model name he said." he said, "a Fujifilm camera like you wanted".
So I purchased the camera for HK$3900, which seemed like a good deal considering it had 8 million pixels, MP3 and a video camera built in.
Mr Cheung wrote on the reciept... Fuji LA DVD 660.
To cut a long story short, it turns out that Fujila is certainly not Fujifilm, the quality is much worse than a disposable camera, and it was often faulty.
I managed to get back in contact with them when in Asia (They dont answer calls from western countries) and they told me that they dont give refunds, however they would exchange it for another camera but they must choose which one. I know have a camera which I can buy in the UK for less than half the price of what I paid in Hong Kong.
I fell for the con, I feel cheeted and upset that a retailer can tell blatent lies, mislead you, over charge you, give you a faulty camera and get away with it. He didnt even deny that he lied to me.
Beware when shopping at the GRAND RICHLY.
Beware of the blatent liar, MR CHEUNG.
