I ordered a Canon Powershot A410 camera online on 9/25/05 from USAphotonation.com. A "manager" called me on 9/26/05 and wanted to know why I did not want to order cables, batteries, etc. With the camera. I had no clue that was not included. He tried to tell me that's how cameras are sold. When I said I begged to differ with him, he got rude, so I told him to cancel the order.
Stupidly, I did not check consumer complaints first, and agreed to purchase the extras. Now, I am in the process of trying to cancel this order before it ships. The status shows "in process" but when I call them tomorrow, I know they are going to say it has already been shipped. If it has, I have to refuse it, pay for shipping, and a 7% restocking fee.
My question is, how do these guys get away with fraudulent internet selling practises? They have 5 star reviews, which I am sure are written by themselves. If anyone has any ideas of how we can go after these people and put them out of business before others, like me, are sucked into their fraudulent way of doing business, I would like to see them posted on this website.
