I will try not to rant...
I was called and offered 250 min. For 29.99 (plus free phone). I accepted (god, I wish I could re-live that day). Get phone and plan, now costs 39.99. I called to clear it up which...
You know, I can't even start. They have cost me so much time and energy it makes me crazy. I felt abused by customer service. WE HAVE to wait on the phone for 40 MINUTES because we have NO OTHER OPTION.
Who has set their alarm to wake up early to try to get through to customer service?
How about a simple list of my situation:
(each item takes an extreme amount of energy to resolve-if resolution even happens)
1. Plan cost more when I got phone in hand
2."correction" equaled lower minutes for same price ("we never had that plan" "She doesn't work here anymore" blah, blah, blah)
3. No bill sent to me for months, I called repetitively-I knew they would over charge me
4. No voice mail, routed to different departments
5. No voice mail indicator, routed to different departments
6. Smart button broken, phone in for repairs for first time
7. Bills start coming in (my first piece of paper from them was a treatening LATE NOTICE), charged for plan I did not agree to, previously discussed credits not applied
(I have begun planning my evenings around the constant time I need to spend dealing with Worldcom matters, let's see I can cook while I'm on hold from 5:00-5:30, after I eat, I'll call the new # they will refer me to)
8. I feel they did not honor our contract, but I'm treatened with big fees if I want to cancel... But worldcom, you did not deliver what you promised!
9. New phone, smart button doesn't work, they won't repair, I have to prove when I got phone... You know, if I tried to cancel, you would know in a heartbeat when I got the phone!
10. The loaner phone they give me is a different model so I don't have a headset and car power adapter, for weeks now I can't use my phone (conveniently) in the car, I keep begging them for a loaner in my model so my accessories will work, I REFUSE to buy new one.
11. Paid by automatic system (wrong), they withdrew the money from my account twice! Despite trying feverously, I was never able to get it resolved-I just let them keep the $ til my next bill (not what I wanted to do... It was my money!!!)
12.By this time I have settled for their higher rate and now they charge me more for less service (they're just mean)
13. Other stuff, I am sick of trying to remember
They hardest part is the inability to get problems dealt with. The burden of proof is on us and NO ONE at Worldcom is willing to listen (here's where the conspiracy plot comes in). No matter what THEY do to us, we cannot cancel. We are left powerless. The whole system seems set up to confound and sideswipe us and get as much money from us as fast as possible. Please make them go away. Please.
I can't wait til my contract is over!!! Is there an ex-Worldcom support group, or parties for those lucky enough to have freed themselves from World com's evil tyranny?
