Just purchased top load LG washer, top of the line. Delivered and installed Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. Very first load of laundry in the machine, and it breaks mid-cycle, leaving the tub full of dirty water. No service available Thursday which is understandable because of the holiday, however Friday goes by... Nothing. Saturday/Sunday, weekend, nothing. Monday we are told to expect a call 'first thing' in the morning. 3 pm finally get a call from LG. They are perplexed as to why I didn't want a 'repair' to my brand new machine. I was willing to accept only a replacement. Finally they agreed, and informed me it would arrive on Dec 12... 10 days in addition to the 4 days I've been without a washer. I then informed them I no longer wanted the broken washer or a new one, I wanted to return the machines and purchase something else. Finally, after waiting on hold, and then being told they would call me back. I was finally informed they would take back the washer, but not the dryer. Why would I buy a washer dryer 'set' and only return one? If I return shoes because the heel broke on the right shoe, I don't keep the left! The customer service rep was very short with me, as well as his supervisor I asked to speak with after a somewhat heated exchange. I will never buy another LG product again, and if I can, I will return the refrigerator we purchased at the same time as the washer/dryer.
