COMCAST PRICE GOUGING, A story of deceptions and Greed!

I am about to fill you in on a few secrets and deceptions that Comcast has been pulling on customers. My wife and I were in shock when we got our bill from Comcast Communications. We subscribe to Digital Service in our bedroom, and Regular Service in our living room. We also have Broadband Internet Service. For these services we pay the following price: $129.90 per month. After seeing that this bill is much higher than our car insurance bill, we decided to cut our losses and reduce our cable bill - after all, its only TV.

We pulled out the bills and started to check the figures, we did the math and called Comcast. The agent listened to us complain about the high price of services. He tried to keep us from canceling the services by offering us special rates. When we stood our ground and demanded these reductions. He suddenly offered to keep the service AS IS and permanently reduce the bill to $94.00 per month for all. When I asked him why? He gave no reason. They just reduced the bill to keep us as customers.

All you need to do to get you bill lowered is threaten to quit.

Lets look at the Comcast Profit Margin for our area. If you take a city like Washington DC and estimate 5 million people and assume they all subscribe to Comcast paying at least $60.00 per month, you will be amazed at the amount of money these people are pulling in. Now imagine this nationwide...

As for satellite TV, my wife and I had Direct TV in our motor home for over 2 years. We used a portable tripod wherever we went and got a strong signal. We lost the signal twice in 2 years (and that was due to extreme storms and heavy snowfall). The service is MUCH cheaper and well worth the monthly $45 (for all channels, locals, and 2 movie channels package). Direct TV has terrific customer service and the equipment is inexpensive. Too bad we don't face the southern sky or Comcast would be history. They are greedy, overpriced, and fail to disclose CHEAPER PRICES unless to threaten to quit.

SO, threaten to quit and save some money. Don't be afraid to tell them why!

Never give Comcast your Checking Information. They reached into our account and took a payment without permission. They did not give advance notice and caused us to have OD Fee's sice we were not warned about the debit. A few months ago we made a single payment online and Comcast must have stored the information. They claimed that we set up a revolving payment. We did not. Anyone who uses the Comcast web site should pay CLOSE ATTENTION to what you click. We won the case when we filled out paperwork from the Bank and learned that "NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN before funds are debited from your account. Comcast DID NOT provide notice and we proved it with the Comcast Bill. The Funds and OD fee's were returned by the Bank. Comcast Lost. Moral of the Story, "Get Direct TV wherever possible and Never, NEVER TRUST COMCAST. They Gouge Customers and blame it on expenses. Do the Math and you will see that cannot be true.
