On Dec 27 I visited this Radio Shack store and inquired about pre-paid wireless cell phone companies. They showed me a few they handled among which was the Tracfone system. I purchased two Tracfones plus 2 400 minutes airtime cards plus accessories for each phone.
Not once during the sales presentation did the sales person inform me that the Tracfone system was fraught with difficulties involving 1) problems with activation; 2) problems with assignment of invalid or long distance phone numbers; and 3) problems with almost non-existent customer support in relation to activation; credit of airtime; and virtually useless call-in numbers.
It is axiomatic that Radio Shack, Inc., has a responsibility to ensure that the companies whose products they sell are reliable, dependable; customer friendly; and willing to ensure customer satisfaction.
