Royal Camera are bait and switch ripoff artist masters.
They had the Canon 550 Flash on sale advertised at the lowest price on the net. As the item was "not in stock" at the time, they talked me into getting the Sigma 500 DG Super Flash intead, which they claimed was better at focusing. The price was competitive with B&H and Adorama.
They sent me the Sigma EF 500 Standard Flash instead of the Super model and tried to tell me it was just as good as the Super model which is a much cheaper unit and not ETTL.
When I would not relent, they agreed to take back the other flash and bill me an extra 40$. Of course, they had me return the old flash at my expense. They told me it was that or send the old flash back while losing the shipping cost anyway. Their response was "We are losing money here". They assured me the Sigma flash was better. As they had me over a barrel, I agreed. The Sigma Flash is not as good as the Canon equivalent and I paid too much for it.
Buyer Beware. Do not buy from this company.
