I bought this item via [URL Removed] in February. I plugged it in to charge and the transformer blew 20 minutes later. We reported it and they had a different transformer sent to us which took a month and lots of nagging. When I plugged this in it also blew after a short period.
When I approached [URL Removed] for a refund they simply referred me direct to the Mother Company. Needless to say I have had NO response to date from them at all. After more complaining Simon simply referred me to the small print terms and conditions where they absolve themselves from any responsibility whatsoever.
I have had to source and approach a company that builds transformers and have had a custom made one built at a cost of R700.00. Luckily due to perseverance I have solved my problem but feel sorry for less resourceful and adamant customers.
Watch out for [URL Removed] They simply act as a third party to order and run when the hits the fan.
I will never use them again and will strongly discourage anyone who plans to.
