I do not recommend Home Depot for carpet installation. I spent a lot of money and time to change my carpet. I trusted them as a big company, and I got their full package with a lifetime warranty. As soon as they came inside the home to install the carpet, they started to say, "If we do that, if we change that, if..." In short, they give you a lot of excuses so that you will give up on the warranty.
We ended up bringing in somebody to fix our cables and somebody to fix the place where the carpet will end by the wood edge. Our dining room is partly carpet and wood. The installer did a good job (at least it looks that way now; we do not know for how long it will stay good), but they do not care about anything else at all. It looks like a robot that was programmed to install carpet but do nothing else.
Everybody told me not to go with Home Depot and to work with Lowe's, but I did not listen to them, and I am sorry for myself now.
