Best Buy Sells Broken Merchandise And Accuses Customers Of Creating Damages

I purchased a new Barnes & Noble Nook Easy Touch for my young daughter for Christmas and upon opening it she discovered the screen was cracked. While attempting to exchange the item she was informed that "Best Buy never sells damaged product and that she obviously damaged it herself" Infuriated I called the store myself and while speaking to the store manager was told the same thing. These items come in solid non transparent packaging with no way of even knowing if the product is inside. I asked the woman if Best Buy open and inspects every item prior to sale for which she simply said. She stuttered a bit and claimed "These items do not leave the store damaged" and basically accused my daughter of being a liar. I will never purchase another item from these thiefs.
