Last year, October 27 I sought a membership with this shady company called star search casting. It was for movie extra jobs. I paid $99.70 to start up my membership and was told that I could receive a full refund within thirty days. I cancelled within about ten days. They told me that I would receive my refund within 10 business days. It never came.
I called and got the run around from this company for about three months. Sometimes when I would call and give my information, my call would be disconnected. When I finally got through to my transferred call person, I told them about this and they just couldn't understand how that could happen. Well I will tell you why. It is much easier to hang up on someone than to give them yet another elaborate story about how their refund is comming when we all know that it is not. I would love to get a hold of these people, but I don't think they have an actual office building. I think that they are most likely underground.
So I never recieved my refund. I was willing to write it off as a great learning experiece that cost me huge. Today, I looked at my bank account and learned that they are charging me again. I paid them with my debit card and they retained that information and I suppose they will just continue taking money out of my account whenever they please. This time it is 98.00 dollars. It took me a while to even figure out who was taking money out of my account. The reason for this is because I signed up with star search casting and apparently they changed there name to primetime casting, or showtime casting.
It must be a tactical effort to dupe more people into signing up with thier shady little company. It is actually a pretty good little scheme. Just change your address, company name, and phone number and you are in business. I am persuing legal action. I am not fooling around with these idiots anymore. Evertime I call them I just get a mental picture of three guys sitting in a garage placing people on hold all day so that they can pretend like it is an actual business and not just an elaborate scheme. This company sucks, but they are great at stealing money so I will have to give them credit... They are very successful theives. This is directed to all companies affiliated with Star Search Casting, Primetime Casting, Showtime Casting, and whatever their new name will be.
